(January 2025) Rochester, NY – For more than 100 years, Catholic Charities Family and Community Services (CCFCS) has provided refugee and immigration services to families from around the world, helping them build new lives in Rochester. As one of hundreds of Catholic Charities agencies across the country, and in keeping with our calling, we provide humanitarian services to individuals who have fled war and persecution in their home countries and who have been legally allowed to enter the U.S.
During his first term in office between 2017 and 2020, President Trump drastically reduced the number of refugees allowed into the U.S. He has indicated he will enact similar policies when he assumes office again in 2025. It is too early to tell what the full impact will be on our programs, staff, and clients. However, we remain steadfast in our mission to welcome the stranger and serve those in need. CCFCS will continue to provide a broad set of services to refugees and immigrants that enable them to live peaceful, hopeful lives.
