TICKETS ON SALE NOW!
Rochester, NY (July 16, 2026) – Tickets are on sale now for the second annual Blue and White Luncheon: Stories of Resilience featuring keynote speaker, longtime Rochester broadcaster Doug Emblidge. For more than four decades, Doug was a familiar and trusted voice in Rochester homes as a reporter and anchor at 13WHAM-TV. In 2024, Doug's son Jeffrey passed away after a lengthy struggle with substance use. At the Blue & White Luncheon, Doug will talk about what his family went through: the heartbreak of losing Jeffrey, but also the hope, healing, and strength they found along the way. The Emblidge family's story of resilience reflects the experiences of many families served by Catholic Charities. It also honors Jeffrey by highlighting the deep love he shared with his family and friends.

“Ours is a sad story, but it's also one of grace,” Doug says. “I've learned there is a way to find meaning in loss, even though it may not be easy. I want people to know how much gratitude we have for Jeffrey and the meaning he continues to bring to our lives. I want people to know how grateful we are for community, including the people of Catholic Charities and the work they do every day.”
