Rochester, NY –   This spring, countless individuals, organizations, and local businesses answered the call and donated to a Cleaning Supplies Drive hosted by Catholic Charities Family and Community Services (CCFCS). The result is a virtual warehouse of cleaning products and household items that will be distributed to CCFCS clients in Rochester and Monroe and surrounding counties.

Many of the people CCFCS serves struggle to make ends meet and the cost of basic cleaning products is routinely out of reach. In addition, due to lack of transportation, some rely on corner stores within walking distance, where prices for these items are higher. As a result, they often go without essential items like laundry detergent, paper towels, disinfectant wipes, mops, brooms, and toilet paper. All these items and more were collected during the Cleaning Supply Drive thanks to donations from the community.

“We can’t thank our donors enough for their generosity,” says Ally Ewing, CCFCS Development Project Manager. “We know that these cleaning supplies will help our clients maintain safe, healthy homes for themselves and their families.”

Cleaning supplies collected during April will be distributed to CCFCS clients throughout the month of May. Anyone who is interested in donating cleaning supplies can still do so by visiting the agency’s Wish Lists on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/3AVTPI0GLHCS5
