A message from our CEO

Together, we bring new beginnings.

Give Today

Dear Friends:

This spring and all year long, employees of Catholic Charities Family and Community Services offer the promise of new beginnings to every individual and family they serve. I am so very proud of all of them, including Seana Denning. Seana is one of the Directors for the Health Homes programs at CCFCS.

Seana Denning, Director, Health Homes

She and her team help children and adults with complex challenges get the support they need to stay healthy and out of the hospital or emergency room. Often that means helping them overcome barriers to care, including challenges related to mental health and trauma. Many of their clients were born into circumstances far beyond their control. They didn’t choose to grow up with generational trauma shaped by neglect, abuse, or poverty. You and I may have faced some of the same challenges in life—but often the difference for us is having support and resources to help us through. Seana’s clients don’t always have that support, and some have no one at all. Seana reminds them they’re not alone and guides them toward better outcomes and a brighter future.

Your support changes lives

But the reality is, this past year has brought new challenges. Changes in Medicaid regulations and other shifts within the funding landscape have made it harder to keep up with the demand. The number of children and youth in our Children’s Health Homes program grew by 79 last year alone, with new intakes from Monroe County and the Finger Lakes region.

The Health Homes programs that Seana oversees are just two of more than 80 programs offered by CCFCS. Thanks to caring supporters like you, our neighbors—at every age and stage of life—can access the support and services they need to thrive.

This year marks Seana’s 25th year working at CCFCS. Over that time, she’s walked alongside countless young people and adults through some of their darkest days. She’s seen their lives change—sometimes slowly and sometimes in really big ways. None of this important work would be possible without donors like you.

If our work resonates with you, please consider making a gift to CCFCS.

On behalf of Seana Denning and everyone at CCFCS, we wish you a wonderful spring. Thank you for supporting our important work.
